The decision on the expediency of sending a patient for treatment abroad and (or) attracting foreign specialists for treatment in domestic medical organizations is made at the level of republican health organizations based on the conclusions of specialized specialists.
3. According to what diagnoses are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent for treatment abroad and (or) attracting foreign specialists for treatment in domestic medical organizations within the framework of the GOBMP?
The procedure for sending citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for treatment abroad is regulated by the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 26, 2021 No.KR DSM – 45 "On approval of the rules for sending citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for treatment abroad and (or) attracting foreign specialists for treatment in domestic medical organizations within the framework of the GOBMP" (hereinafter – the Rules). Within the framework of the treatment abroad program, referral for treatment abroad is carried out, as well as for treatment in domestic clinics with the involvement of foreign specialists (master classes). Children under the age of 18 are referred for treatment if there are indications for high-tech medical care, which is not carried out in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Adult patients are referred according to the list of diseases determined by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1. Arteriovenous malformations and tumors requiring radiosurgical treatment (gamma knife) due to localization in surgically inaccessible functionally significant areas of the brain. 2. Arteriovenous vascular malformations of the brain stem, spinal cord and arterial aneurysms for endovascular treatment. 3. Tumors of the base of the skull for transoral removal. 4. Malignant neoplasms of the eye requiring radiosurgical treatment (gamma knife, radioactive applicators). 5. Keratoprosthetics. 6. Diseases requiring transplantation of tissues (parts of tissue) or organs (parts of organs), with the exception of autologous and related transplantations of hematopoietic stem cells of adults and children, except for diseases in which this treatment technique cannot be performed due to the lack of required technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as corneal transplantation. 7.
